From Students Young Digital and Tech Professional Shortlistees

While students at the University of Birmingham, our founders created StudyStash – an innovative platform combining AI and neuroscience to transform the learning experience for University and Higher Ed students.

The Mission

During their second year at university, Ben and Jonathan found themselves overwhelmed, faced with 300-page slide decks, endless tests, and hours of lectures that failed to stick. Instead of enduring the struggle, they set about to make a change.

Their mission: to transform education by creating a platform to empower every student, regardless of background, ability, or ambition, helping to unlock their full potential and achieve brilliant outcomes.

"At this year's awards, Coventry University were proud to sponsor Young Digital and Tech Professional of the Year, with Paul Fairburn, the university's Director of Innovation, presenting to winner Ben Ward, Co-founder of revision resource platform, StudyStash."

Changemaking

Using proven AI-driven analytics paired with Cognitive Neuroscientific insights, they programmed StudyStash to identify where specific students were struggling to help you improve knowledge effectively and efficiently. In doing so, Ben and Jon were able to break away from the one-size-fits-all study model, creating a truly personalised learning environment tailored to individual learners' needs.

Looking Ahead

What began as a struggle to keep up is becoming a movement. Thousands of students already onboarded, partnerships growing, and our mission ever expanding: to make adaptive, personalised learning the norm, not the exception.

Being recognised by the Midlands Young Professionals Awards gave us real momentum, and was a powerful testament to the innovation behind StudyStash. Ready to see what's next? Join our 2026–2027 Pilot today.
