City St George's, University of London is working with StudyStash to support students with personalised, adaptive study tools and responsible AI across selected undergraduate courses.

City St George's, University of London will be working with StudyStash, an adaptive learning platform built on proven neuroscience, to support students with personalised, adaptive study tools and implement responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) across a selection of its undergraduate courses.

The implementation will integrate StudyStash directly within the university's Learning Management System (LMS), giving students seamless access to adaptive study tools that respond to their individual learning needs. Teaching staff will also receive detailed insight reports showing where their students are struggling and need additional support, helping the university to complete the teaching-learning loop.

Following successful rollouts across the UK, Europe, the US and Africa - including the University of Birmingham, Loughborough University, St Mary's University Twickenham, the University of Oulu in Finland, the University of Latvia, RCSI and COSECSA, California State University, East Bay and Bowling Green State University in the US - the focus will be on supporting student engagement, wellbeing and academic outcomes, reflecting City St George's commitment to educational excellence and digital innovation.

This forms part of City St George's wider AI strategy, moving beyond isolated trials towards a coordinated, institution-wide approach to generative AI that puts ethical responsibility, academic excellence and staff development at its centre. StudyStash joins a portfolio of AI education pilots running across the university's Schools, alongside platforms including Teachamatic and Graide, with each pilot evaluated for pedagogic integrity, responsible AI practice and evidence-led progression from pilot to scale.

A focus on faculty engagement and academic partnership

As part of this coordinated approach, a joint kick-off was attended by academics and students and will be followed by on-campus demonstrations with teaching staff from departments including Economics and Optometry. Working closely with the university's Digital Education team, StudyStash will support academics to embed the platform within their courses from the start of the academic year.

By integrating StudyStash with the LMS, students will be able to convert their existing course material into interactive learning assets such as flashcards, podcasts, practice exams and learning schedules to support their grades and independent learning. All AI use is grounded exclusively in academics' original course materials, ensuring accurate, relevant learning aligned with course objectives.

StudyStash was founded by two students at the University of Birmingham who wanted to make studying simpler, smarter and more personal. Balancing lectures, coursework and revision, they saw first-hand how disconnected digital tools often were from the real learning experience.
